Week 3_Day 2

Morning

{Noon} {Evening}

I will raise myself up from this bed of sleep, to adore my God, and to labor for the salvation of my soul. O may I rise on the last day unto eternal life. Amen.

Repeated Stanzas (Tropars) to the Holy Trinity & Thrice Holy (Trisagion)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Having risen from sleep we worship You, O Good One, and we sing with the angels and the living creatures (the seraphim and the cherubim), a hymn to You: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, the all-powerful God, who was and is and is coming!” (Revelation 4:8)

The Jesus Prayer

O Lord Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (the Messiah), Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Lord, Have Mercy (Kyrie Eleison)

Lord, have mercy, Christ (the Messiah) have mercy, Lord have mercy. (Luke 18:13)

I am nothing without you. I can’t do anything apart from you. I have no goodness of my own. I need you. I want you. I am desperate for you every moment of every day. Whatever I face today, whether poverty or plenty, in any situation: I can do all things through Christ (the Messiah) who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

You created my innermost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:13;16) You care for me. I am precious to You, made in Your image with honor. (Matthew 6:26; Psalms 8:4-5) You love me. (Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:9-10)

Morning Sacrifice – stand facing east toward Jerusalem and the future Temple (burn incense, light a candle, ring a bell, or sound a trumpet/shofar; have wine/juice and cracker/matzo ready)

Hear (Shema)

Listen and obey, Israel! The Lord is our God, The Lord alone! So love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Tell them to your children over and over again. Talk about them all the time, whether you’re at home or walking along the road or going to bed at night, or getting up in the morning. Write down copies and tie them to your wrists and foreheads to help you obey them. Write these laws on the door frames of your homes and on your town gates…  I command you to love others as much as you love yourself. I am the Lord.  (Deut. 6:4-9; Lev. 19:18; Luke 10:27 CEV)

The Lord’s Prayer

You should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, help us to honor your name. Come and set up your kingdom, so that everyone on earth will obey you, as you are obeyed in heaven. Give us our food for the coming day. Forgive us for doing wrong, as we forgive others. Keep us from being tempted, and protect us from evil. The kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours forever. Amen. (Mtt. 6:9-13 CEV)

Sacrificial Gift (Korbanot)

Master of the Worlds, You commanded Israel to bring the daily offering at its appointed time; and have the priests perform their service, and the Levites to sing and play music on the platform. And now, because of Your covenant discipline, the Holy Temple is destroyed, and the daily offering discontinued; we have neither a priest at his service, nor a Levite on his platform, nor an Israelite at his station.

Think of my prayer as sweet-smelling incense, and think of my lifted hands as an evening (or morning) sacrifice. (Psalm 141:2 CEV)

Restore the service to the inner sanctuary of your Temple, and receive in love and with favor both the fire-offerings of Israel and their prayers.

Please be willing, Lord, to help the city of Zion and to rebuild its walls. Then you will be pleased with the proper sacrifices, and we will offer bulls on your altar once again. (Psalm 51:18-19)

The Great Thanksgiving (Eucharist)

All glory be unto You, Almighty God, our Father in heaven, for You, of Your tender mercy, did give your only Son Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah to suffer death on the cross for our redemption; who made there by His one oblation of himself once offered, a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice, oblation, and satisfaction, for the sins of the whole world; and did institute, and in his holy Gospel command us to continue, a perpetual memory of his precious death and sacrifice, until His coming again. Amen.

Confession of Sin & Absolution

Let us bow and humbly confess our sins to Almighty God:

Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah,
have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Take a moment to confess individual sins that come to mind.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who in his great mercy has promised forgiveness of sins to all those who sincerely repent and with true faith turn to him, have mercy upon us, pardon and deliver us from all your sins, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness, and bring us to everlasting life; through Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah our Lord. Amen.

We hear the words of our Lord, “Your sins are forgiven. Go: and sin no more.”

Blessing over the Wine (raise the cup and recite)

We bless You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine. As we drink let us be filled with the knowledge of your sacrifice that our deeds may imitate the One who offers forgiveness through His blood; Who has given us the Way to deliverance from the wrath to come in Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah. Amen.

Blessing over the Bread (raise the bread or cracker and break)

We bless You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, Who brings forth bread from the earth. We give you thanks, our Father, for the life and knowledge which You made known to us through Your Son Jesus (Yeshua). Yours is the glory forever and ever. As this broken bread was scattered upon the mountains (as seed) and gathered together as one bundle of wheat, so may Your assembly be gathered together from the ends of the earth into Your kingdom. For Yours is the glory and the power through Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah forever and ever. Amen. (Didache)

Song of the Bible

Suffering Servant

Has anyone believed us or seen the mighty power of the Lord in action?
Like a young plant or a root that sprouts in dry ground, the servant grew up obeying the Lord.
He wasn’t some handsome king. Nothing about the way he looked made him attractive to us. He was hated and rejected; his life was filled with sorrow and terrible suffering.
No one wanted to look at him. We despised him and said, “He is a nobody!”

He suffered and endured great pain for us, but we thought his suffering was punishment from God.
He was wounded and crushed because of our sins;
by taking our punishment, he made us completely well.
All of us were like sheep that had wandered off.
We had each gone our own way, but the Lord gave him the punishment we deserved.

He was painfully abused, but he did not complain. He was silent like a lamb being led to the butcher, as quiet as a sheep having its wool cut off. He was condemned to death without a fair trial.
Who could have imagined what would happen to him?
His life was taken away because of the sinful things my people had done.
He wasn’t dishonest or violent, but he was buried in a tomb among cruel, rich people.

The Lord decided his servant would suffer as a sacrifice to take away the sin and guilt of others.
Now the servant will live to see his own descendants. He did everything the Lord had planned.By suffering, the servant will learn the true meaning of obeying the Lord.
Although he is innocent, he will take the punishment for the sins of others,
so that many of them will no longer be guilty.
The Lord will reward him with honor and power for sacrificing his life.
Others thought he was a sinner, but he suffered for our sins and asked God to forgive us. (Isaiah 53:1-12 CEV)

Prayer for Protection

O Lord, Lover of men, and by Your loving-kindness I strive to do Your work today, and I ask You: help us at all times, in everything, and deliver us from every evil grief and distress of heart, and every attack of the devil, surround us by Your holy angels, that we may be guarded and guided, and lead me into Your eternal Kingdom. For You are my Creator, the Giver and Provider of everything good, and all my hope is in You, and to You I send up glory, now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Come, Creator Spirit (Veni Creator Spiritus)

Come, Holy Spirit, Creator come, from your bright heavenly throne! Come, take possession of our souls, and make them all your own. Far from us drive our hellish foe, true peace unto us bring, and through all perils guide us safe beneath your sacred wing. Through you may we the Father know, through you the eternal Son and you the Spirit of them both, three times blessed, three in One.

Benediction

May the grace of the Lord Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (the Messiah), and the love of God, and the friendship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.  (2 Corinthians 13:13)

Scripture Prayer – Mission

Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people. Pray that I will be given the message to speak and that I may fearlessly explain the mystery about the good news. I was sent to do this work, and this is the reason I am in jail. So pray that I will be brave and will speak as I should. (Eph 6:18-20 CEV)

Pray this scripture for yourself and specific names of others.

Creed

I believe (trust) in one God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in (obey) one Lord, Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah,
the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made, being of one essence with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation (from the wrath to come), he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe (trust) in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.I believe in (acknowledge) one, holy, universal and apostolic assembly. (the coming Commonwealth of Israel)
I confess one baptism (of repentance) for the forgiveness of sins
and I wait for the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Hear our voice, O Lord our God; spare us and have pity on us. Accept our prayer in mercy and with favor, for you are a God who hears prayers and supplications. O our King, do not turn us away from your presence empty-handed, for you hear the prayers of your people Israel with compassion.

Blessed are you, O Lord, who hears prayer.

Baptism Questions  (Remembering your baptism: you may want to dip your hand or fingers in a bowl of water and recite these again)

Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God?

I renounce them

Do you renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God?

I renounce them

Do renounce all sinful desires that draw you from the love of God, and that are deserving of the coming wrath of God?

I renounce them

Do you put your whole trust in the mercy and forgiveness of God shown to you through the sacrifice of the Messiah?

I do

Do you promise to be loyal to Him no matter what may come, whether persecution or death?

I do

Do you promise to follow and obey Him as your Lord, the coming King of Israel, who will reward and resurrect your body on that Day to live on the restored earth?

I do

We thank you, Almighty God, for the gift of water. Over it the Holy Spirit moved in the beginning of creation. Through it you led the children of Israel out of their bondage in Egypt into the land of promise. In it Your Son Jesus (Yeshua) received the baptism of John and was anointed by the Holy Spirit as the Messiah, to lead us, through his death and resurrection, from the bondage of sin into everlasting life.

We thank you, Father, for the water of baptism. In it we are buried with the Messiah in His death. By it we will share in His bodily resurrection, and will be reborn by the Holy Spirit. We receive now a deposit of the powers of that coming age. Therefore in joyful obedience to Your Son, we bring into His fellowship those who come to HIm in faith, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Now set apart this water, we pray, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that those who are cleansed from sin may continue forever unto the risen life of Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah our Savior. Amen.

Song of the Bible

7th Trumpet

At the sound of the seventh trumpet, loud voices were heard in heaven. They said,

“Now the kingdom of this world belongs to our Lord and to his Chosen One! And he will rule forever and ever!”

Then the 24 elders, who were seated on thrones in God’s presence, knelt down and worshiped him. They said,

“Lord God All-Powerful, you are and you were, and we thank you.
You used your great power and started ruling.
When the nations got angry, you became angry too!
Now the time has come for the dead to be judged.
It is time for you to reward your servants the prophets
and all your people who honor your name, no matter who they are.
It is time to destroy everyone who has destroyed the earth.” (Revelation 11:17-19 CEV)
