Week 4_Day 5

Morning

{Noon} {Evening}

I will raise myself up from this bed of sleep, to adore my God, and to labor for the salvation of my soul. O may I rise on the last day unto eternal life. Amen.

Repeated Stanzas (Tropars) to the Holy Trinity & Thrice Holy (Trisagion)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Having risen from sleep we worship You, O Good One, and we sing with the angels and the living creatures (the seraphim and the cherubim), a hymn to You: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, the all-powerful God, who was and is and is coming!” (Revelation 4:8)

The Jesus Prayer

O Lord Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (the Messiah), Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Lord, Have Mercy (Kyrie Eleison)

Lord, have mercy, Christ (the Messiah) have mercy, Lord have mercy. (Luke 18:13)

I am nothing without you. I can’t do anything apart from you. I have no goodness of my own. I need you. I want you. I am desperate for you every moment of every day. Whatever I face today, whether poverty or plenty, in any situation: I can do all things through Christ (the Messiah) who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

You created my innermost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:13;16) You care for me. I am precious to You, made in Your image with honor. (Matthew 6:26; Psalms 8:4-5) You love me. (Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:9-10)

Morning Sacrifice – stand facing east toward Jerusalem and the future Temple (burn incense, light a candle, ring a bell, or sound a trumpet/shofar; have wine/juice and cracker/matzo ready)

Hear (Shema)

Listen and obey, Israel! The Lord is our God, The Lord alone! So love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Tell them to your children over and over again. Talk about them all the time, whether you’re at home or walking along the road or going to bed at night, or getting up in the morning. Write down copies and tie them to your wrists and foreheads to help you obey them. Write these laws on the door frames of your homes and on your town gates…  I command you to love others as much as you love yourself. I am the Lord.  (Deut. 6:4-9; Lev. 19:18; Luke 10:27 CEV)

The Lord’s Prayer – Expanded

Let Him sit on the throne of David in Jerusalem; From the temple filled with His radiance; His law going forth, what He wants being done; As it always has been in the Heaven of heavens

Sacrificial Gift (Korbanot)

Master of the Worlds, You commanded Israel to bring the daily offering at its appointed time; and have the priests perform their service, and the Levites to sing and play music on the platform. And now, because of Your covenant discipline, the Holy Temple is destroyed, and the daily offering discontinued; we have neither a priest at his service, nor a Levite on his platform, nor an Israelite at his station.

Think of my prayer as sweet-smelling incense, and think of my lifted hands as an evening (or morning) sacrifice. (Psalm 141:2 CEV)

Restore the service to the inner sanctuary of your Temple, and receive in love and with favor both the fire-offerings of Israel and their prayers.

Please be willing, Lord, to help the city of Zion and to rebuild its walls. Then you will be pleased with the proper sacrifices, and we will offer bulls on your altar once again. (Psalm 51:18-19)

The Great Thanksgiving (Eucharist)

All glory be unto You, Almighty God, our Father in heaven, for You, of Your tender mercy, did give your only Son Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah to suffer death on the cross for our redemption; who made there by His one oblation of himself once offered, a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice, oblation, and satisfaction, for the sins of the whole world; and did institute, and in his holy Gospel command us to continue, a perpetual memory of his precious death and sacrifice, until His coming again. Amen.

Confession of Sin & Absolution

Let us bow and humbly confess our sins to Almighty God:

Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah,
have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Take a moment to confess individual sins that come to mind.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who in his great mercy has promised forgiveness of sins to all those who sincerely repent and with true faith turn to him, have mercy upon us, pardon and deliver us from all your sins, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness, and bring us to everlasting life; through Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah our Lord. Amen.

We hear the words of our Lord, “Your sins are forgiven. Go: and sin no more.”

Blessing over the Wine (raise the cup and recite)

We bless You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine. As we drink let us be filled with the knowledge of your sacrifice that our deeds may imitate the One who offers forgiveness through His blood; Who has given us the Way to deliverance from the wrath to come in Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah. Amen.

Blessing over the Bread (raise the bread or cracker and break)

We bless You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, Who brings forth bread from the earth. We give you thanks, our Father, for the life and knowledge which You made known to us through Your Son Jesus (Yeshua). Yours is the glory forever and ever. As this broken bread was scattered upon the mountains (as seed) and gathered together as one bundle of wheat, so may Your assembly be gathered together from the ends of the earth into Your kingdom. For Yours is the glory and the power through Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah forever and ever. Amen. (Didache)

Song of a Biblical Text

Solomon

Lord, Your mercy is over the works of Your hands forever;  Your goodness is over Israel with a rich gift.  Your eyes look upon them, so that none of them suffers want;  Your ears listen to the hopeful prayer of the poor.

Your judgments (are executed) upon the whole earth in mercy;  And Your love (is) toward the seed of Abraham, the children of Israel.  Your chastisement is upon us as (upon) a first-born, only-begotten son,  To turn back the obedient soul from folly (that is wrought) in ignorance.

May God cleanse Israel against the day of mercy and blessing,  Against the day of choice when He brings back His anointed.  Blessed shall they be that shall be in those days, In that they shall see the goodness of the Lord which He shall perform for the generation that is to come,  Under the rod of chastening of the Lord’s anointed in the fear of his God,

In the spirit of wisdom and righteousness and strength;  That he may direct (every) man in the works of righteousness by the fear of God,  That he may establish them all before the Lord,  A good generation (living) in the fear of God in the days of mercy. Selah. (Psalm of Solomon 18:1-10)

Scripture Reading

Torah Portion – follow the daily Torah portion for the week.

Out of Zion shall come forth the Torah (Law), and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Blessed are You, Lord our God, who gave the Torah (Law) to His people Israel in holiness.

Scripture Prayer – Consecration

Our Lord Jesus (Yeshua) will punish anyone who doesn’t know God and won’t obey his message. Their punishment will be eternal destruction, and they will be kept far from the presence of our Lord and his glorious strength. This will happen on the day when the Lord returns to be praised and honored by all who have faith in him and belong to him. This includes you, because you believed what we said. God chose you, and we keep praying that God will make you worthy of being his people. We pray for God’s power to help you do all the good things you hope to do and your faith makes you want to do. Then, because of the undeserved grace of God and our Lord Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (the Messiah), you will bring honor to the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua), and he will bring honor to you. (2 Thess 1:8-12)

Pray this scripture for yourself and specific names of others.

Jesus (Yeshua) is Lord!

Not without His suffering and death did we find our way from the bondage of sin to the shore of refuge and new life in Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah. The oppressor’s fury grows as his grip begins to weaken in his rage he pursues us even to his own destruction. O Lord, teach us to rejoice in our freedom and to pray for the lost. Let there come a day when hate and greed shall be no more, When all on earth will proclaim with joy:

“Jesus (Yeshua) is Lord!”

We acknowledge You, O Lord, as the God of freedom, Who, through Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah, cleanses the hearts and souls of all men and women. We praise You, for You free us from the passion of hate and strife, greed and the lust for power, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit for good will and the Love of justice and mercy. Speedily bring the redemption of Your kingdom, when sword and spear shall be broken, and freedom and peace shall reign forever. May that day quickly come when all Israel shall be saved, proclaiming,

“Jesus (Yeshua) is Lord!”

Prayer for Protection

O Lord, Lover of men, and by Your loving-kindness I strive to do Your work today, and I ask You: help us at all times, in everything, and deliver us from every evil grief and distress of heart, and every attack of the devil, surround us by Your holy angels, that we may be guarded and guided, and lead me into Your eternal Kingdom. For You are my Creator, the Giver and Provider of everything good, and all my hope is in You, and to You I send up glory, now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Come, Creator Spirit (Veni Creator Spiritus)

Come, Holy Spirit, Creator come, from your bright heavenly throne! Come, take possession of our souls, and make them all your own. Far from us drive our hellish foe, true peace unto us bring, and through all perils guide us safe beneath your sacred wing. Through you may we the Father know, through you the eternal Son and you the Spirit of them both, three times blessed, three in One.

Benediction

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus (Yeshua) our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (2 Peter 1:2-4)

Scripture Prayer – Mission

Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people. Pray that I will be given the message to speak and that I may fearlessly explain the mystery about the good news. I was sent to do this work, and this is the reason I am in jail. So pray that I will be brave and will speak as I should. (Eph 6:18-20 CEV)

Pray this scripture for yourself and specific names of others.

Creed

I believe (trust) in one God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in (obey) one Lord, Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah,
the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made, being of one essence with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation (from the wrath to come), he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe (trust) in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.I believe in (acknowledge) one, holy, universal and apostolic assembly. (the coming Commonwealth of Israel)
I confess one baptism (of repentance) for the forgiveness of sins
and I wait for the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Baptism Questions  (Remembering your baptism: you may want to dip your hand or fingers in a bowl of water and recite these again)

Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God?

I renounce them

Do you renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God?

I renounce them

Do renounce all sinful desires that draw you from the love of God, and that are deserving of the coming wrath of God?

I renounce them

Do you put your whole trust in the mercy and forgiveness of God shown to you through the sacrifice of the Messiah?

I do

Do you promise to be loyal to Him no matter what may come, whether persecution or death?

I do

Do you promise to follow and obey Him as your Lord, the coming King of Israel, who will reward and resurrect your body on that Day to live on the restored earth?

I do

We thank you, Almighty God, for the gift of water. Over it the Holy Spirit moved in the beginning of creation. Through it you led the children of Israel out of their bondage in Egypt into the land of promise. In it Your Son Jesus (Yeshua) received the baptism of John and was anointed by the Holy Spirit as the Messiah, to lead us, through his death and resurrection, from the bondage of sin into everlasting life.

We thank you, Father, for the water of baptism. In it we are buried with the Messiah in His death. By it we will share in His bodily resurrection, and will be reborn by the Holy Spirit. We receive now a deposit of the powers of that coming age. Therefore in joyful obedience to Your Son, we bring into His fellowship those who come to HIm in faith, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Now set apart this water, we pray, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that those who are cleansed from sin may continue forever unto the risen life of Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah our Savior. Amen.

Song of the Bible

7th Trumpet

At the sound of the seventh trumpet, loud voices were heard in heaven. They said,

“Now the kingdom of this world belongs to our Lord and to his Chosen One! And he will rule forever and ever!”

Then the 24 elders, who were seated on thrones in God’s presence, knelt down and worshiped him. They said,

“Lord God All-Powerful, you are and you were, and we thank you.
You used your great power and started ruling.
When the nations got angry, you became angry too!
Now the time has come for the dead to be judged.
It is time for you to reward your servants the prophets
and all your people who honor your name, no matter who they are.
It is time to destroy everyone who has destroyed the earth.” (Revelation 11:17-19 CEV)

Prayer – Leaders

O Lord, grant to all kings and rulers health, peace, concord, and stability, that they may administer the government you have given them without failure. For you, O heavenly Master, King of the Ages,  give the sons of men glory and honor and authority over all things that are on the earth. Lord, direct their counsel according to what is good and pleasing in your sight, that administering the authority you have given them, in peace and gentleness, with godliness, they may obtain your favor. You alone are able to do these things, and things far greater than these for us. We praise you, through the High Priest and Guardian of our souls, Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (the Messiah); through him be glory and majesty to you, both now and for all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (1st Clement)

Pray this scripture for Governmental or any other leaders by name.

Shavuot (Weeks)

We give thanks for Your Law (Torah) and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Assembled at a mountain, Your people embraced Your Law (Torah) in which they found Your instructions for goodness and life. In an upper room, there came a sound from heaven as a mighty rushing wind and all those present were filled with the Holy Spirit, and tongues of fire came on them. May we who love Your Law (Torah) of Truth and Life be empowered by Your Spirit to boldly proclaim Jesus (Yeshua) our Lord. We thank You, who has brought those both far and near into the one fellowship of the coming kingdom, the Commonwealth of Israel. Together we praise You Lord, as we acknowledge Your saving power and marvelous grace. Amen.

Take a moment to let this image stir up your holy imagination.

Benediction

To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (the Messiah): Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. (Jude 1-2)

Bedtime Prayer

The constant berating of my enemies, O Lord, you know, and of the weakness of my nature you have understanding, O my Creator. For behold, into Your hands I commit my soul that You may shield me under the wings of Your goodness lest I sleep unto death. Enlighten my eyes with the excellency of Your sayings, and raise me up to send up praise to You at all times, for You alone are good and the lover of mankind.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Your judgment O Lord is fearful, when people gathered, angels standing, books opened, works unveiled, and thoughts examined, what judgment is mine, who am found in sins, or who will quench the flame of fire; if You, O Lord, have no mercy on me? For You are compassionate toward mankind.

Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, to Him be the glory! Amen.
